Where to stay in Sun Peaks

One of the best things about staying in Sun Peaks is that you really can't choose a bad location.

The resort is purpose-built around a charming pedestrian village, meaning almost every accommodation option offers true ski-in/ski-out access. You're never more than a short walk or ski from the lifts, restaurants, shops, and après-ski venues.

With location taken care of, your decision comes down to the style of holiday you're looking for. Whether you prefer the convenience of a full-service hotel with restaurants on-site or the flexibility of self-catered accommodation, Sun Peaks has something to suit every budget and every type of traveller.

I've personally stayed at the Sun Peaks Grand Hotel and it's easy to see why it's one of the resort's most popular hotels. The outdoor heated pool and hot tubs overlook the pistes, creating the perfect place to relax after a day on the mountain. The hotel also offers excellent facilities, including a well-equipped fitness centre, comfortable guest rooms with all the amenities you'd expect, and direct ski-in/ski-out access.

While the hotel bar is convenient, I'd recommend exploring some of the village's lively après-ski venues. My personal favourite is Cahilty Creek Kitchen & Taproom, where the atmosphere is fantastic and the famous Brussels sprouts are an absolute must-try!

During my visit to Sun Peaks in February this year, I was fortunate to enjoy a guided tour of several of the resort's most popular properties, including Nancy Greene's Cahilty Lodge, Sundance Lodge, and the Sun Peaks Grand Hotel. As an added bonus, Nancy Greene herself happened to be in reception when I arrived!

Nancy Greene's Cahilty Lodge

A welcoming ski-in/ski-out property offering comfortable accommodation, excellent facilities, and an unbeatable location in the heart of Sun Peaks Village. It's particularly popular with families and those looking for a relaxed atmosphere, while Cahilty Creek Kitchen & Taproom is one of the best spots in the village for après-ski.

Sun Peaks Grand Hotel

The resort's premier four-star hotel, offering spacious rooms, outstanding facilities, an outdoor heated pool and hot tubs, excellent dining, and true ski-in/ski-out convenience.

Sundance Lodge

Ideal for families and groups, Sundance Lodge offers spacious self-catered accommodation with direct access to the slopes and easy access to all the village's shops, restaurants, and resort facilities.

All three properties offer excellent accommodation, fantastic locations, and convenient on-site dining options. Whether you're looking for a luxury hotel experience, a family-friendly lodge, or the flexibility of self-catering, there's an option to suit every style of ski holiday.

Having experienced these properties first-hand, I'm happy to help you choose the accommodation that's the perfect fit for your budget, travel style, and expectations, ensuring you get the very best from your Sun Peaks ski holiday.
